More details about the application process will be added as they become available, and the entire application process will be available beginning August 1, 2015.
Pre-requisites include, but are not limited to:
- a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the US or international equivalent
We will be interested in seeing the science courses you have taken, but they won’t be a deal-killer in themselves. A document for self-assessment, “What MTs need to know about science“, which will include ways to get that knowledge, if you didn’t already, will be available beginning in June here.
The BA or BS from an accredited school attests to your ability to be successful at college-level work.
- State-licensed or otherwise eligible to practice massage therapy in the US, and ability to become licensed to practice in Washington state.
Students must arrive already trained as MTs, and either insured or insurable, in order to take part in clinical rotations.
- No felony convictions; misdemeanors outside of traffic offenses will have to be discussed on an individual basis before application.
PNCAHS won’t take money from students for a degree that the state won’t permit someone to use because they won’t license them.
- Writing samples, topics and specifications to be provided by mid-July 2015.
